Abbey Court Nursing and Residential Homes is a dual registered home located on the fringe of Derby City Centre.
The building, which dates back to the 1700s, is located on Kedleston Road across from the green open spaces of Markeaton Park. With the expertise and support of over 50 staff we provide a caring home for 40 residents, whose needs range from Residential to Nursing care. All our staff are fully trained and CRB checked. We pride ourselves on being a friendly and approachable team and thus create a very homely and relaxing environment.
The home is owned by brother and sister, Ashley and Natasha Wildsmith and their capable team of carers and nurses is headed by Matron, Richelle Dalisay and Deputy Matron, Sam Tebbutt. Abbey Court has an excellent reputation in Derby and works closely with Derby City Council, the NHS Primary Care Trust and local GP surgeries.
Abbey Court houses 40 bedrooms, with 39 single rooms and one shared. All rooms can be individually personalised with residents own furniture, pictures and even their own bed!
WE do provide hospital beds and all the necessary healthcare equipment. All rooms are fitted with a television and digital nurse call system. Residents have the freedom to move around the home as they wish. Communal lounges and a large conservatory offer a relaxing and homely environment.
All food is prepared freshly on site and home cooking is the order of the day. Relatives and friends are welcome to join residents for a meal at no extra charge and all laundry freshly washed and pressed on site.
We have an excellent reputation in Derby and qualified registered nurses on duty 24 hours a day.
